Some artist may achieve this goal later in life, but for many social media has aided in the quest to become a viral sensation. Platforms like Instagram have propelled many artist and furthered their careers. One in particular is Dan Lam (@sopopomo). Dan Lam is a sculpture artist based in Dallas, Texas, her art speaks for itself. She creates three-dimensional, vibrantly colored drip and blob shaped sculptures out of foam. Social media has grown her out reach, she has been reposted by major art Instagrams including @love.watts, which has over 1.6 million followers, she's been featured in Juxtapoz Magazine, and sells many of pieces on her website. Instagram has been a way for artists like Dan Lam and many others to reach mass amounts of people from all over the world. Going viral can open up doors and take a career to new heights.
